Program Description:
The International Security Management Association (ISMA) Leadership Program is an executive management program designed for security directors worldwide. Participants learn how contemporary management theory and practice apply to their roles as security professionals in their respective organizations. The promary objective of the program is to prepare the next generation of security directors for the strategic challenges that they will face in the decades ahead. The program provides program participants with the knowledge and tools to be effective leaders and stategic planners, especially as risk management becomes more prominent to businesses and governments. The program is designed for current mid-to-senior level managers who want to strengthen their skills in their current organization's business environment.
The program proceeds in three distinct phases over the period of one year.
Phase I: Phase I consists of five fundamental modules.
- Security Director as Manager
- Security Director as Leader
- Security Director as Financial Planner
- Security Director as Strategic Planner and Thinker
Phase II: Phase II provides strategic planning advising to organizations.
Phase III: Phase III comprises four modules.
- Security Director as Negotiator
- Security Director as Communicator Part I
- Security Director as Communicator Part II
- Security Director as International Manager
