XCOM-601 - Writing Executive Core Qualifications Statements for the Senior Executive Service

Course Description

During this two day, interactive and hands on, workshop, senior-level Federal government officials (GS 14 and 15) will create and build the foundation to write successful Executive Core Qualification (ECQ) statements in order to have a competitive Senior Executive Service (SES) application.  

Participants will understand the ECQs and the SES selection process.  You will be introduced to the Challenge-Context-Action-Result (CCAR) Model as a method to develop ECQ narratives and will apply the CCAR Model in demonstrating executive core qualifications.

Course Objectives

• Examine the components of the Senior Executive Service, Qualifications Review Board, SES Candidate Development Program, and the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs)
• Construct a detailed CCAR outline and transform it into a complete narrative for your SES application
