Course Description

This course will introduce students to the basics of modeling, design, planning, and control of robot systems. Topics include planar and spatial kinematics, motion planning, mechanism design for manipulators and mobile robots, multi-rigid-body dynamics, control design, actuators, and sensors, task modeling, human-machine interface, and embedded software. Students will explore these topics through demonstration and construction of small robots.

This academy is suitable for students who intend to pursue a career in the field of robotics or just enjoy having fun creating their own robots.
