Course Description
This certificate develops the leader’s capacity simultaneously to elevate human and bottom-line results. Leaders learn strategies for inclusive planning, principles-based leadership, values-based decision making, and approaches to create both human and organizational alignment that attend to belonging and the bottom line. This offering engages participants in the strategic use of AI for leadership development and impact through experiential and applied learning.
Course Outline
Module 1: Understanding FIRO-B Building Awareness of Interpersonal Needs
In this foundational module, you will explore the FIRO-B (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation–Behavior) model as a framework for understanding interpersonal needs and their impact on workplace relationships. Through an in-depth look at Inclusion, Control, and Affection, you will develop greater self-awareness and gain insight into how your interpersonal preferences shape everyday interactions. The module also examines how these dimensions influence team dynamics and communication styles.
Module 2: Authentic Leadership & Values-Driven Decision Making
This module focuses on the role of personal and collective values in shaping authentic leadership. You will begin by identifying and articulating your core values, then explore how those values influence your leadership style and decision-making process. The module also examines how individual and team values can align or come into tension with an organization’s mission and vision. Through reflection and analysis, you will gain deeper insight into how values-driven leadership fosters trust, integrity, and long-term impact in teams and organizations.
Module 3: Strategic Thinking and Visioning
This module equips you with the skills to develop a strategic vision aligned with organizational goals that resonates with diverse stakeholders. You will learn to conduct an environmental scan, analyzing external trends and drivers of change, and integrate relevant results into the strategic planning process. Module 4: Leadership Impact Assessment & Stakeholder Engagement
In this module, you will develop the skills to assess the impact of leadership decisions on real-world, case-based issues. You will learn and apply several AI-supported strategies to enhance clarity and confidence when making critical decisions under stress. Additionally, you will practice stress-check techniques to maintain focus and create actionable plans informed by ChatGPT outputs.
