Course Description

As investor, startup founder, Stanford professor, and author Steve Blank explains in the HBR article Why the Lean Startup Changes Everything, the lean startup methodology favors experimentation over elaborate planning, customer feedback over intuition, and iterative design over traditional “big design up front” development. This sounds great in theory, but how do you actually apply it to your startup or product idea?

Following The Lean Startup Introduced, The Lean Startup Applied is a full-day hands-on workshop designed to give participants real world tactics and experience in applying the foundations of the lean startup methodology. The instructor, Danny Boice, will give real world examples and practical advice on how to apply lean startup concepts. Other local successful founders and product managers will also guest lecture to give specific case studies about how their startups used the lean startup methodology to get started, find product/ market fit, or solve a specific product problem.

Designed For

  • Entrepreneurs
  • Product managers
  • Designers
  • Marketing professionals
  • Engineers

Faculty

Danny founded his first company Jaxara in the early 2000s and exited via acquisition.

Danny attended Harvard University and is a guest contributor to The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Fast Company, and Pando Dailyas an expert on startups, product, technology, and user experience.
