Course Description

Today there is an enormous temptation - if not outright pressure - to multitask, do more, and be available 24/7. This creates an almost constant feeling of pressure, anxiety, and fear that something will be missed, "dropped," or forgotten - all of which have a negative impact on your effectiveness. How can you find a way out of this vicious cycle?

Part of the answer lies in mindfulness. This one-day experiential master class will teach the foundational principles of mindfulness with specific application to mindful scheduling, mindful speech, mindful eating, and mindful breathing. You will learn how to feel less pressured and less stressed. Discover how to stay calm and peaceful on the inside, despite what's happening on the outside. Participants will leave the master class with mindfulness practices that can be immediately applied to:

  • Concentrate and focus better
  • Be more present with colleagues, coworkers, customers, friends, and family
  • Feel more relaxed and at ease

Course Outline

Students will be engaged in mindfulness practices throughout the day and will gain a variety of practices to apply at work and in life.

Participants will be able to:

  • Define mindfulness
  • Cite some of the science behind the effectiveness of mindfulness
  • Experience mindful breathing, eating, and walking
