American Conversational English Program Spring 2026

Program dates: January 8 - January 29, 2026

Thank you for applying to the American Conversational English program through the Georgetown University English Language Center. Please make sure to submit your application and required documents.

Age Requirement: All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have completed high school by the start of each program offered by Georgetown’s English Language Center.

Application Materials:

• Completed student profile and application with $75 application fee
• Copy of your transcript or diploma in English, showing proof of completion of secondary school or of university studies beyond secondary school
• Copy of biographic page of passport

Please note that this program will be held in-person.

Testings Requirement: After completion of the program application, applicants will receive an email to sign up do a required interview and instructions for the online placement test. These steps must be completed in order to receive full admission to the program.

F-1 visa applicant requirements: If you need F-1 visa support, you will receive detailed instructions to complete your I-20 application, only after completing all the steps above and your tuition payment.

• Application deadline (if you need F-1 student visa support): December 1, 2025
• Application deadline (if you are a transfer student, US citizen or permanent resident, or otherwise do not need visa support): December 1, 2025
