Thank you for your interest in our training programs.  Georgetown University offers 4 programs related to young children who are disabled.  Two programs (GUCEI and C3EIP) are specifically related to infants, toddlers and young children. LEND focuses on children and youth with disabilities and LEND Plus is a combination of GUCEI and the LEND program. 

Each applicant will select which program they are applying for. See the program descriptions below:

Georgetown University Certificate in Early Intervention (GUCEI)

This program is a comprehensive training in evidenced based EI practice promoting family-centered and culturally-responsive, intentional, differentiated services. Designed for in-training graduate students in early intervention professions and current EI service providers. 

In order to ensure that there is a baseline of knowledge and experience of students in the cohort, applicants should have the following pre-requisites: 

Prerequisites

  • An entry-level degree in an early intervention/early childhood discipline such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, special education, social work, etc., or related field such as early childhood education
  • A bachelors or master’s degree in a related field of study such as psychology, sociology, human development, healthcare, etc.
  • At least one year of professional experience in serving vulnerable children and families

Critical Components of Contemporary Early Intervention Practice or Program (C3EIP)

This program is a 10-month hybrid interdisciplinary training program in evidence-based early childhood practices. Designed for Scholars completing a professional preparation degree at the Master or Clinical Doctoral level.

Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (GULEND)

This program is a 10-month hybrid interdisciplinary training program in evidence-based practices. Designed for current service providers and in-training graduate students in disability oriented professions.

Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Plus (GULENDPlus)

This program is for participants who attend the GUCEI program and the LEND program. Designed for current service providers and in-training graduate students in disability oriented professions.

  4. Transcript (Unofficial Accepted) (C3EIP Only)
  5. 2 Professional References
