Early Intervention

 

Our classes are taught online in real-time by Georgetown instructors using Zoom video conferencing. They are designed to provide our professional learners with a high-quality, engaging educational experience. For more information, please contact Program Support at pdcprograms@georgetown.edu.

You must successfully complete the nine required courses for a total of 20.00 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), which is equivalent to 200.0 contact hours. All nine courses must be completed within the 10-month time frame. For more information on course schedules, please see the Certificate in Early Intervention 2025 Program Schedule.

  1. Foundations of Early Intervention (2 CEUs)
  2. Serving Children with High-Intensity Disabilities in the Natural Environment (2 CEUs)
  3. Providing Services to Young Children (3 CEUs)
  4. Gathering Information to Determine Eligibility (3 CEUs)
  5. Special Topics in Early Intervention (1 CEU)
  6. Integrated Practices in Early Childhood (3 CEUs)
  7. Administration and Leadership in Early Intervention (3 CEUs)
  8. Practice Applications in Early Intervention (1 CEU)
  9. Capstone Course in Early Intervention, Parts I and II (2 CEUs)

Application Process

As this is a cohort program, each applicant will be evaluated as an individual and as part of a well-balanced group of students. Applications and supporting materials must be submitted online through the MySCS Portal. Applicants are responsible for uploading all required application materials by the posted deadline for their desired semester of entry.
