XPRM-704 - Team Communications & Negotiations
Course Description
Effective team communication and negotiation are essential project management skills. Project managers need these skills to address issues with team members, clients, customers, and other stakeholders before they affect performance. This course covers the foundations of negotiation, negotiation strategy including planning and framing, how to recognize and prepare for the phases of a negotiation, and how cultural differences are increasingly playing a role in the globalized economy.
Assignments provide a “hands on” approach to learning how cultural differences can impact team dynamics and affect project success, including assessing sources of conflict and how to apply the appropriate conflict resolution techniques and communication techniques to address them.
