Course Description

In today's rapidly evolving financial landscape, the integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) has become increasingly prevalent. This course will provide a clear and pragmatic understanding the leading financial technologies and their most common applications at a management level, including AI, GenAI, neural networks, blockchain, and FinTech. Over two weeks, participants will engage in live Zoom sessions and dedicated study activities to explore key topics such as AI ethics, fairness, transparency, accountability, and the regulatory landscape. No prior knowledge of AI is required.

Course Objectives

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the leading financial technologies at a management level.
  • Understand the most common applications of each technology, and their projected future use.
  • Understand the uniqueness of AI, and the ethical considerations and principles of trustworthy AI in finance.
  • Identify and address issues of fairness, bias, transparency and accountability in AI systems.
  • Navigate the regulatory landscape related to the use of these technologies in finance.
