Course Description

In a diverse global environment, FHFA and its various teams need leaders and team members who can interact with colleagues and stakeholders from every background and identity and help financial institutions understand and implement DEIA policies in line with Federal directives. 

In keeping with President Biden’s Executive order on DEIA in the Federal Workforce, this program will provide FHFA teams with hands-on foundational education related to diversity in the workplace and with tools to identify and counter their own implicit biases.

The proposed program will take place in the first half of 2025 and include six courses and intervening team coaching sessions. The program will conclude with a Capstone Project that encapsulates the total learning experience. Participants will receive a Georgetown University certificate upon successful completion.

To meet the needs of the FHFA, Georgetown is prepared to customize its Executive Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to the needs of the staff in the merging offices at FHFA. The core content would be representative of the ITL Certificate Program, but coordinated by a dedicated Faculty Director or two co-Directors who work directly with the FHFA to modify the material to be responsive to the needs of your agency and to create a cohesive experience for participants at all levels of their DEIA journey.
