Provides a strong grounding in early childhood development, learning theory, socio-ecological framework of child development and developmental system theory. Course addresses effective approaches used for families who are experiencing a variety of social, health, and economic adversities and explores issues such as the science of brain development, social-emotional development, motivational interviewing, and a variety of supportive programs.
