XPRM-701 - Agile Project Management Fundamentals
Course Description
The course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of Agile Fundamentals. The course teaches students how to deliver and maximize value with an adaptive approach and highlights distinctions and similarities between agile and traditional/predictive/waterfall project management. Throughout the course, students acquire the essential knowledge on agile values, principles, practices, tools, and benefits of applying a lean-agile approach within their organizations. Through readings, videos, lectures, experiential learning, and demonstrations, students gain understanding of agile concepts and essential Agile skills.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to:

Explain the value of Agility and apply the Agile Mindset/Scrum Theory in your business setting

Demonstrate how to structure work for delivering value iteratively and incrementally, including Product Vision, Roadmap, Epics, Features, and User Stories

Apply adaptive planning techniques to maximize value delivery, including prioritization of the overall Product Backlog, relative estimation of backlog items, and value delivery via Sprint Backlogs

Define Agile roles and ceremonies to support Scrum.

Recognize how to drive continuous improvement using Agile metrics, including value delivery and team performance data.
